Stood up

A few weeks ago, The OI Girl and I invited our next door neighbors over for a cookout on my new grill. I was all ready with a couple of pounds of steak, and a couple of pounds of shrimp, all Ke-babed up, ready for the grill.
They decided they couldn't make it, and just hung out inside their apartment, the door of which is less than 12 inches from our front door. They said maybe they can make it after the new year.
I don't think so.
OI Girl thinks they're having some internal problems, like maybe I asked him, and he didn't tell her, so she got pissy and decided to be difficult and not come. Who knows, who cares? NottEye!
So, I put a lot of kebabs back in the fridge, and we're having them Friday. And we had a great shrimp kebab dinner.

Also we have a lot of leftover turkey from Xmas dinner at a friends. They got stood up too. They were expecting 20, then 8 then only the OI Girl and I showed up.

Boxing Day

Had a good Xmas, the OI Girl and I went camping at the beach across the street. Slept pretty good too.
Then we got up and came home and opened presents.
Then went and had dinner at a friends.
Today is Boxing Day. I think that's where you throw away the boxes from all the presents you got.
This 'no seat belt' thing keeps sounding worse and worse. First I heard $75, then $250, now someone posted $500 in my comments. That'd piss me off.

Well, This blogs days may be numbered. I'm wondering if I can blog from prison.

Had a great weekend, went to the beach, went diving.

I was on my way home from diving when I got busted.

I asked the officer if I could just pay (wink wink), but she said no, I have to go to court.

I'm wondering if I may be spending some time in the slammer, the joint, the big house, the house of pain. Hope I don't end up being Bubba Horsecocks girlfriend.

I got busted big time, I didn't even bother to deny it. Maybe the judge'll go easy on my because I'm a first time offender.

I got a ticket for no seat belt.

Solstice

Today is the shortest day and the longest night. I haven't checked with precision, but the actual solstice accually occurs at about 1AM local time tonight (tomorrow) so tomorrow may be the shortest day. But I recognize the 21st as the solstice.
This morning on the dawg walk I saw the Crux and Centaurus. There's not a cloud in the sky and it's quite nice.
I'm super busy at work these past several days, always when I want to take it easy.

I hate yesterdays post and am thinking of deleting it.
Nah, I AM deleting it.

Sneaking around

There's not much to post about. Sneaking around with Xmas gifts.
I bought some wrapping paper, but the OI Girl found it, so I bought more. I don't want her to see it dwindle.
We have a deal of 5 gifts each, trying to find away around that... I think that the Dawg'll buy her a few too.

How I spent my weekend.

I had a good weekend, for the most part. Saturday the OI Girl worked, and I went to the beach, I know this, but it's like I can't remember Saturday-day, I only remember Sunday, when we went to the beach. Saturday night was the Work Christmas party, and that was nice, with lots of food and fun. And I remember it OK too, even though I just got done sayin' I can't remember Saturday.

Last night I had a weird dream. I was fooling around with this girl who was wearing a clear Pyrex skirt. I was between her knees trying to get my you-know-what inside her you-know-what, but couldn't, for the same reason you can't touch the bottom of an ice tea glass with your finger. At the same time I was thinking, "How am I going to account for this time if the OI Girl asks where I was? She's going to know". But I really wanted to have sex with this girl. I couldn't get her skirt off or break it. It was like a clear glass bell around her waist down to almost her knees. She ended up getting mad at me and I ended up going home. The OI Girl didn't suspect anything and I was glad I didn't have to lie and I was glad I didn't fool around.

Last night we had our neighbors over for a shish-kebab cookout, we had chicken, beef and shrimp kebabs, more than we could eat. It was a success I think

And Also, My Washington Redskins won, Dallas lost and Miami won, breaking their loosing streak. I'm not particularly a Miami fan, but I like the sea and Dolphins live in the sea so I'm glad they won.
Good all around weekend.

Tis Friday

It's Friday, I don't really have plans for the weekend. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough to go to the beach and dive.
Yesterday I went to the beach with the hammock and it was windy and cold. The OI Girl had to work late, she's off today.

Weekend Visitor

Tropical Storm Olga is coming for a visit. Hurricane season is officially over, but I guess Olga didn't get the memo!

Wensdee

At first I had accidentally named thie post Thursdee. I thought it was Thursday.
I have no topic for posting today. Yesterday I had a long lunch hour because of a split shift. So I went to the beach. Here's a picture of the beach bar kind of across the street from the Courtyard Mariotte. It's called Calico Jacks. They have the worst hamburgers in the world. Last time we ate there was the last time. OI Girl and I both got sick. Maybe something else but burgers. . .

Two Goats

There were two goats, behind a movie theater, eating an old movie that was in the trash. They were chomping away, and one turned to the other and said, "This is pretty good. isn't it?" The second goat thought for a second and replied, "Yes, but it's not as good as the book."

Good weekend

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday The OI Girl and I went to a party at the Ritz. It was pretty nice. Everyone was supposed to wear white, but the best I could do was a dim yellow. The party was the kickoff for the Crisis Center Fundraiser. I had a $45 glass of water.
Saturday, we went diving, with some of the OI Girls friends who were diving for the first time since they got certified.
Sunday we went back to the beach in the morning and in the afternoon was the tennis match I mentioned Friday. There were world champion tennis players there, and I think it's the first time I ever sat and watched anyone play tennis. I've seen tennis courts, just never anybody playing. I played one day once in high school gym.
Watching a tennis match was pretty fun, but your neck gets sore after a while.
Now it's back to work, with the crazy Holiday schedule starting up about now.

hmmm

It's Friday, The OI Girl won a contest and got tickets to a tennis match and a party this weekend. It should be fun.
And I am seriously disappointed I didn't get more comments about my new grill. We used it last night and it is great!
I guess it's just a grill.

Member of the Club

Yesterday during lunch I got the new grill. For another $50 I got a new propane tank. Now I'm a member of the propane tank club. To get into the propane tank club you buy a shiny, new, gleaming white, perfectly immaculate empty propane tank, take it to the gas station, and, for an additional fee of $16, trade it in for an old, rusty, beat-up, paint scraped off, greasy, dirty nasty, gross, don't-know-where-it's-been, full one. They just rotate around, you take in your empty and trade it in for a full. I did pretty good though, I found another almost-new one in the collection! It still has the decals on it, like the one I turned in!!
I started putting the grill together about 9:30, and got it done and went to bed at 1:10 in the morning. There's a shelf that goes on the opposite side of the stove burner you see in the pic, but I left it off to save space.
I had to do some major rearranging of junk to make room for the grill to fit there. I may get rid of some plants and keep it outside after the new wears off. The OI Girl and I have sooo Much JUNK!

Split Shift

Today is my split shift day, I like the long beach lunch-break.
Also today I'm buying a gas grill. I have a tabletop version but now I'm buying a biggun.
It's an early Xmas/Channuka present from the OI Girl.
I don't know where I'm going to keep it though...

Carrots?

Yesterday I took the day off, and went diving. It was a nice sunny day. After that, I went to the beach. When I got home, I ate a whole bunch of those Baby Carrots, that you get in the grocery store. Then I had a stomach ache, I think the carrots disagree with me. Is that possible?
